后来，诸葛亮又连续三次捉住了
孟获。
Meng Huo was caught by Zhuge Liang three more times.
孟获每次都不服气地说：你
就知道用计谋，要是凭真本事
打仗，我不会输给你的。
「Each time he said, " You only know how to use tricks. You can not win in a true test of minds."
所以，诸葛亮每次都笑着请他吃
饭，然后放他回去。
And each time Zhuge Liang smiled at him and let him go.
到了第七次，孟获向乌戈国的国王
借来了藤甲兵，准备打败蜀军，
This time, Meng Huo borrowed a rattan-armored army from Wuge.
洗刷前六次被诸葛亮俘虏的耻辱。
He wanted to settle the score of being caught six times.
藤甲兵身上穿着藤条做成的盔甲，
不怕刀砍，不怕水淹，蜀国军队很
难打过他们。
The army wore rattan armor. The armor was very tough, and hard to cut through. The troops of Shu could not defeat these soldiers.
诸葛亮观察地形后，想出了一
条妙计。
Zhuge Liang observed the landforms and got a good idea.
魏延按照诸葛亮的计谋，不停地
输给孟获，在十五天内吃了十五
个败仗。
Under Zhuge Liang's plan, Wei Yan lost 15 battles in 15 days.
孟获以为诸葛亮真的打不过他，
就放心地追赶魏延。
Meng Huo thought that Zhuge Liang could be easily defeated, so he kept on chasing Wei Yan.
他高兴地说：哈哈，我这次
一定要活捉诸葛亮！
He said happily, " Haha! This time I will catch Zhuge Liang."
魏延把孟获引到了一个山谷里，然
后就消失了。
Wei Yan led Meng Huo into a valley and disappeared suddenly.
孟获看见许多黑色的车子挡在路
中间，才知道又上当了。
Meng Huo saw only many black carts coming towards him. He realized he had been tricked again.
原来，这是诸葛亮事先埋伏好的
油和炸药。
The carts were loaded with oil and gunpowder.
这时，从山谷上方飞来很多火把，
把炸药都点着了。
At this moment, many firebrands came down from the top of the valley and set off the gunpowder.
藤甲兵身上的盔甲一遇火就烧了
起来。
The rattan armor caught fire.
孟获赶紧逃走，可是他刚逃出
山谷就被抓了起来。
Meng Huo tried to flee, but was caught just when he ran out of the valley.
诸葛亮笑着对孟获说：怎么样？
如果不服，我还可以再放你回去，
等你准备好我们再打。
Zhuge Liang said to Meng Huo with a smile, " What do you think? I can set you free again, and we can fight again when you are ready."
孟获终于被感动了，他流着眼泪
说：你抓了我七次，又放我七
次，我还有什么脸面再跟你打。
Meng Huo was moved at last. He said with tears, " You have caught me seven times and freed me seven times. How can I fight with you?
我心服口服了，我们南方的部落
永远不和蜀国作对了。
I am now convinced. We southern tribes will not oppose you any more."
就这样，诸葛亮安定了蜀国的南
方。他可以安心地讨伐魏国了。
That was how Zhuge Liang stabilized Shu's southern border. He now could attack Wei.
