PINOCCHIO
我就是啊！皮诺奇把他如何到的
愚人国，又是如何变成一头毛驴，
" I am that donkey!" Pinocchio told the new master the story of how he came to the Land of Toys,
如何被卖到马戏班，又如何变瘸的故
事讲给新主人听。
how he changed into a donkey, how he came to the circus and became lame.
我才不听你的故事呢，我只知道我花
了二十便士买你，我要收回这些钱！
" I don't want to listen to your story. I only knew that I paid 20 penny to get you. I want my money back!"
新主人气愤地说。你高兴，就把我
卖了吧！
the new master said angrily. " If you want, just sell me!"
皮诺奇一说完，
as soon as Pinocchio said this,
就跳进海里，飞快地游走了，谁也抓
不住他。
he jumped into the sea and swam away as fast as he could.
他游着游着，突然发现前面有个
可怕的大脑袋露了出来，
While he was swimming, he suddenly saw a large head in the middle of the sea.
是一条大鲸鱼。
It was an enormous whale.
皮诺奇游得飞快，比任何时候都快，
都快到岸边了，
Pinocchio swam faster and faster, and harder and harder. He came close to the rock,
一股可怕的吸力，把他吸了进去。皮
诺奇掉进了大鲸鱼的胃里。
but a terrible suction sucked Pinocchio into the stomach of the Whale.
大鲸鱼的肚子里好黑啊，皮诺奇摸索
着前进，突然，他发现前面有亮光。
Around him all was darkness, so Pinocchio had to go ahead gropingly. Suddenly, he saw a faint light ahead.
他走啊走啊，发现有一个老头，坐在
一张桌子前面吃鱼呢，桌上点着蜡烛。
He walked and walked, and saw an old man eating fish near a table.
皮诺奇走近一看，惊喜地大叫起来∶
Pinochhio came near, cried out with surprise :
爸爸！亲爱的爸爸！我终于找到你
了！我再也不离开你了！
" Father! My dear father! Have I found you at last? Now I shall never, never leave you again!"
我没眼花吧！你真是我可爱的
皮诺奇?爸爸揉了揉眼睛。
" Are my eyes really telling me the truth?" answered the old man, rubbing his eyes. " Are you really my own dear Pinocchio?"
皮诺奇把这两年所发生的事情全
都讲给爸爸听。
Pinocchio then told his father all the things that had happened to him in these two years.
然后对爸爸说，我们得逃出去！
可我不会游泳啊！
" We must try to escape!" said Pinocchio. " But I cannot swim."
我是游泳高手，你骑在我的肩膀上
就行了！
" You can climb on my shoulders and I, who am a fine swimmer, will carry you safely to the shore."
皮诺奇和爸爸拿着蜡烛走啊，走啊，
寻找着逃跑的机会。
They walked a long distance through the stomach and the whole body of the whale. When they reached the throat of the monster,
they stopped for a while to wait for the right moment in which to make their escape.
这是一条很老的老鲸鱼，因为得
了哮喘病，不得不张着嘴睡觉。
The whale, being very old and suffering from asthma and heart trouble, was obliged to sleep with his mouth open.
他们悄悄地从鲸鱼的喉咙里爬了出
来，迅速地跳进大海。
They climbed up the throat of the whale and jumped into the sea immediately.
