Scarborough Fair
五十年代的欧洲,曾流传着这样一个故事:无情的战争召唤着年轻的士兵离开了热恋的故土与亲人，告别了心爱的女孩，投入了它的滚滚硝烟之中，潮起潮落，他最终没能躲过战争的淘洗，掩埋在了凄凉的乱坟冢间。孤魂缥缈，无所寄从，每当忆起他再也不能回到那朝思暮想的家乡，再也无法与心上人一同享受生活的甘甜，心中的悲愤化作一声声催人泪下的控诉：Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme ,She once a true love of mine。野花自在芳香，然而，惟有亘古永恒的时间才是真正的圣哲！于是，便有了这首Scarborough Fair:“你去斯卡布罗集市吗？那遍布芜荽，鼠尾草，迷迭香和百里香的小山坡，代我向那儿的一位姑娘问好，她曾经是我的爱人，叫她为我做件麻布衫……”

眠而不觉，寒笳清嘶。
Sleeps unawafe of the clarion call.
Tell her to find me an acre of land.
嘱彼佳人，营我家室。
彼山之阴，叶疏苔蚀。
On the side of hill a sprinkling of leaves.
涤我孤冢，珠泪渐渍。
Washes the grave with slivery tears.
Between the salt water and the sea strand,
良田所修，大海之坻。
惜我长剑，日日拂拭。
A soldier cleans and polishes a gun.
伊人应在，任我相视。
寂而不觉，寒笳长嘶。
Tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather.
嘱彼佳人，收我秋实。
烽火印啸，浴血之师。
War bellows blazing in scarlet battalions.
将帅有令，勤王之事。
Generals order their soldiers to kill
And gather it all in a bunch of heather.
敛之集之，勿弃勿失。
争斗缘何，久忘其旨。
And to fight for a cause they've long ago forgotten
伊人犹在，唯我相誓。
痴而不觉，寒笳悲嘶。
