BASIC CONTROLS
The simplest way of controlling your team is through direct possession of individual players. This can be highly effective when through on goal.
Passing can become difficult in this mode of control. For a more effective means of constructing chances through passing, continue to Advanced Controls. Proper Team Setup is also crucial to this.
You can only take control of a player when they are already in possession of the ball. To do this, simply press 'W'.

Click a player to select them. Once a player is selected, clicking elsewhere on the pitch will give them a new default position. The formation you create here will be held throughout the game, and will contribute largely to how well the match goes.
The skill and morale of your team are displayed here.When a player is selected, they can be allocated a new role in the team by clicking these buttons.A player's role directly affects their statistics and general in-game behaviour. Team Morale and Skill also directly affect player statistics.

This button commands your players to move into defensive positions
This button commands your players to move into midfielding positions
This button commands your players to move into attacking positions
If the ball is in your team's possession, and the player is close enough to the goal, this button will command them to shoot
Clicking the interfere button will pause the game. You will then be able to give your players direct commands, which will be carried out immediately, once the game is resumed. To give a player a command, click on the player in question. Once a player is selected, clicking somewhere else on the pitch will do one of two things. If the selected player is in possession of the ball, it will tell him where to pass the ball (with a maximum range). If the player is not in possession of the ball, it will tell him where to run.
When a player is selected, the position they are playing in will be displayed in the above box. Knowing a player's position is vital in order to form effective strategies.There are two other ways of pausing and unpausing the game. Hitting the spacebar will pause the game, as will clicking the pitch.

You have not taken the TFS Football Tutorial since loading this game. It is highly recommended that you take it before playing, as the game can appear to be very confusing at first, when it is actually fairly simple. This is a short step-by-step tutorial to teach you the basic controls of TFS Football =]

The basic controls will allow you to directly control individual players on the pitch (using the W-A-D & Shift keys). However, this can only be done when a player on your team is already in possession of the ball. When none of your team have the ball, you are at the mercy of their own intelligence (unless you are using Advanced Controls).
You will know when a player is in possession of the ball, as the bar will be highlighted to show how much stamina they have left. Also, the ball will obviously be visible at their feet.
Stamina
The player shown on the pitch below is now in possession of the ball, and so you can now start controlling him. To take control of him, press 'W' now.
The player is now highlighted by a green marker to show that you are in control of him. To move forward, press 'W'. To turn right or left, press 'D' or 'A' (respectively). To continue with the tutorial, move the player to the portion of the pitch now marked in red.
When controlling a player in-game, you will be subject to Stamina. Your stamina gradually decreases as you move around the pitch, slowing you down, and eventually stopping you. This limits the amount of time you can keep the ball with each player, but a players stamina will be fully replenished each time they receive the ball.
Kick Power
In order to pass or shoot the ball, the Shift key is used. Press and hold to put power behind the kick, and release when you are satisfied. When taking a shot on goal, it is best to put as much power behind the ball as possible, but it is important to measure power carefully when passing.To continue with the tutorial, kick the ball onto the area of the pitch highlighted in red.

They really aren't very difficult, just a bit confusing if you haven't read the page =]
