-To solve your hand, you stack cards on the home cells in order from Ace to King for each suit (A- 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-J-Q-K). If you get stuck, don't give up because every hand in our FreeCell game is solvable! The game area consists of four home cells, located at the top right of the game area, four free cells, located to the left of the home cells, and a deck of cards, which is dealt into eight columns (tableaus) located under the home cells and the free cells. You may move cards, one card at a time, from tableau to tableau if they are in the same order, highest to lowest and alternate suit colors (similar to traditional Solitaire). To move cards into home cells, simply drag them or double click them into the home cell area.
They must be moved in order from lowest to highest and in the same suit (A-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-J-Q-K). Cards that are capable of being moved to the home cells will have a green highlight around the card and when you double-click the card, it goes directly to the home cell for that suit. You can use a free cell to hold any card from the bottom of one of the tableaus or from another free cell. You can also put cards that are placed in free cells back on the tableau as long as it is in descending order and of an alternate suit color (similar to traditional Solitaire).Only the top (exposed) card of each tableau pile is available for play. It may be moved to a home cell (if that card has a green highlight around it), a free cell, or to another tableau.
FreeCell scoring is simple! You score points by placing cards on the home cells. You receive 25 points for placing a card on the home cell and you also receive a time bonus of between 0-100 points, depending upon how quickly you place the card on the home cell relative to yourlast home cell placement. You also receive a time bonus if you completely solve your hand before your time runs out.
Avoid the obvious (not always, of course). You should think before you make any move. Sometimes the obvious move is not the best one. Always try to keep Free Cells open so that you can have multiple options in moving around cards. Try not to use Free Cells unless you have to! Do not move cards from the row stacks to the suit stacks if you think you will need them later in the game. Always look for the low cards first (i.e. Aces, 2's, 3's, etc.) This will allow you to move cards to the home cells while freeing up other cards.
Utilize the card finder buttons at the bottom of the game playing area.This helps you find those sets of cards you may have trouble seeing sometimes.
